Army Chief joins Christian community for Christmas 

Army Chief Syed Asim Munir arrives at Rawalpindi Church to participate in the Christmas Day function. The  Army chief joins Christmas at Rawalpindi to participate in the celebrations with the Christian community.

The Christian Community Response over Army Chief’s Visit

The Christian community thanked the Army Chief for participating in the celebrations and welcomed him.

The Army Chief congratulated all the Christian community living in Pakistan.

The Army Chief respected the religious community And emphasized the need to promote interfaith harmony to implement the true vision of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for a united and progressive Pakistan.

Islamic Vision for Non-Muslim Community

In his speech, he said, “Islam teaches us peace and friendship and encourages interfaith harmony which is the need of the hour.”

The Army Chief emphasized the right approach to address the challenges. Which is based on truth and knowledge rather than propaganda or rhetoric.

“Because of the religious, ethnic, and political weaknesses, the enemies of Pakistan are side by side to create rifts.”

He added, “We have to emerge united to achieve a strong and united nation”.

Quaid e Azam’s Vision

The Army Chief on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam’s 147th birthday, paying tribute to his great vision, issued his decree of 11 August 1947:

You are free; you are free to go to your temples. (And) You are free to go to your Masajid or any other place of worship in the state of Pakistan. 

At the end of his speech, the Army Chief also acknowledged the services and sacrifices of the entire Christian community of Pakistan in all fields and domains.

In Pakistan:

This day is remembered as the day of birth of Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah the founder of Pakistan in 1947.
